Strength for Today

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9

DEVOTION:

There are days when you wake up already tired.

Not physically tired.

Soul tired.

The kind of tired that whispers, I do not know if I can do this again.

We assume strength means feeling capable.

Confident.

Certain.

Unshaken.

But Paul asked for removal.

And God gave him reinforcement.

Grace is not a soft cushion.

It is divine supply.

God did not take away the thorn.

He revealed His sufficiency inside it.

Power perfected in weakness does not mean you collapse.

It means you lean.

Weakness exposes where you rely on yourself.

Grace exposes where God is enough.

The world teaches self reliance.

The kingdom teaches dependence.

Heaven is not disappointed when you feel weak.

Heaven is ready to demonstrate power.

And sometimes today’s strength will not look dramatic.

It will look like obedience in a weary place.

A quiet yes.

A surrendered step.

A faithful decision to lean instead of perform.

Grace does not make you impressive.

It makes you sustained.

REFLECTION:

Where am I trying to appear strong instead of admitting my need for grace?

EXTENDED INSIGHT:

Weakness exposes where we rely on ourselves.

Grace exposes where God is sufficient.

The world teaches self-reliance.

The Kingdom teaches dependence.

Power perfected in weakness does not mean you collapse.

It means you lean.

There is a difference.

Leaning is not failure.

It is alignment.

Today’s strength may not look dramatic.

It may simply look like obedience in a weary place.

PRAYER:

Father,

I admit that I feel weak sometimes.

I do not want to pretend strength when what I need is You.

Let Your grace cover what I cannot carry.

Teach me to lean instead of striving.

If Your power is perfected in weakness, then I give You mine.

Strengthen me for today.

Amen.
