God Is Not Tired of You
Scripture
“Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.”Isaiah 40:28 KJV
Devotion
Sometimes people quietly believe that God must eventually grow tired of them. After repeated struggles, repeated prayers, and repeated attempts to grow, the heart can begin to wonder whether God’s patience is wearing thin.
The thought sounds something like this. Surely God must be exhausted with me by now.
But Scripture speaks directly against that idea.
God does not grow weary.
Isaiah reminds us that the Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint. He does not become tired. His understanding is beyond human limits.
This means God does not experience frustration the way we do. His patience is not fragile. His mercy is not easily exhausted.
Where human relationships sometimes struggle under repeated failure, God’s faithfulness remains steady. He continues to guide, teach, restore, and strengthen His people even when their growth is slow.
God is not tired of walking with you.
Reflection
Have you ever felt that your struggles might have exhausted God’s patience?
How does the truth that God never grows weary change the way you approach Him?
Extended Insight
Isaiah 40 was written to people who felt discouraged and forgotten during a difficult season in their history. They believed their struggles had placed them outside the attention of God.
In response, the prophet reminded them of God’s nature.
The Lord is everlasting. He does not tire. His wisdom is beyond human understanding. This truth stands in contrast to the limitations of human strength.
Later in the same chapter, Isaiah describes how God gives strength to those who feel weak and renews the power of those who wait on Him.
This reveals something profound about God’s character. The very moments when people feel most exhausted are often the moments when God’s sustaining strength becomes most visible.
Prayer
Father, there are times when I feel discouraged by my own struggles and weaknesses. I sometimes wonder if my repeated failures have worn down Your patience.
Thank You for reminding me that You never grow weary. Your strength and understanding are beyond what I can fully comprehend.
Help me trust that You are not tired of walking with me. Give me the courage to continue growing and the humility to depend on Your strength.
Renew my heart today and remind me that Your faithfulness never runs out.
Amen.
