The Arch and the AnointingDivinelyDesigned60 | Heaven Came Close Series© All Rights Reserved

In my dream, I was being led downward—but it didn’t feel dark. It felt sacred.

The staircase was stunning—every step crafted from what looked like polished teakwood, glowing as though light was living inside the grain. To my right, there was what looked like a bar or counter—refined and regal, not worldly. The air felt heavy with glory, like something eternal was about to unfold.

And then I saw it.

Ahead and to the left, there was an arched doorway, and just beyond it stood a Being so enormous, so majestic, so otherworldly, I couldn’t see where He began or where He ended. He wasn’t frightening. He was glory wrapped in stillness.

His robe was a shade of purple I’ve never seen on earth—not violet, not lavender, not royal purple… it was alive, like it breathed with holiness.

He didn’t speak loudly. He didn’t need to.

He reached His robed arm through the arch and touched my forehead. The touch was warm. Light. Final.

As His finger met my skin, He anointed me with oil, and I heard His words:

“You are My beloved.”

Not “called.” Not “useful.” Not even “chosen.”

Beloved.

When I woke up, I expected it to fade.

But there was oil on my forehead.

And a scent I’d never smelled before drifting through the room—soft, floral, holy. It smelled like the Rose of Sharon.

Scripture Reflection

Song of Solomon 2:1
“I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys.”

Isaiah 61:1
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me…”

2 Corinthians 2:15
“For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ…”

Moral of the Story:

When Heaven calls you Beloved, it’s not just a feeling.

It’s a seal.

The oil wasn’t just for your head—it was for your calling.

You are known, marked, and remembered.
