You Don’t Need Another Sign

You may be waiting for another sign. You have already prayed about it, already asked God to make it clear, and already felt that quiet knowing deep within you. Yet instead of moving forward, you find yourself asking again. You tell yourself that if God would just show you one more time, then you would feel sure enough to take the step. The truth is, many times you are not asking because you do not know. You are asking because you do not feel certain.
There is a difference between not knowing and not feeling sure. Uncertainty can make you hesitate even when clarity has already been given. It can cause you to second guess what you sensed, what you heard, and what you know God has been pressing on your heart. That is how you end up pausing, waiting, and asking again, not because God has not spoken, but because you are trying to be absolutely sure before you move.
What if the clarity you are waiting for has already come? God does not always repeat Himself in louder ways just to convince you. Many times He speaks clearly, and then He waits to see whether you will trust what He has already said. That quiet nudge you felt, that direction that keeps returning to you, and that thing you cannot seem to move away from may not be confusion at all. It may be confirmation.
You do not need another sign. You need to trust what has already been placed in front of you. Waiting can feel safe because it delays responsibility. As long as you are still seeking clarity, you do not have to act. You do not have to risk getting it wrong, and you do not have to step into something that feels uncertain. But there comes a point where waiting is no longer obedience. It becomes hesitation.
God is not asking you to move because you have every detail figured out. He is asking you to move because He has already made the next step clear enough for you to take it. You may not see the full picture, and you may not know how everything will unfold, but you already know what you are supposed to do next. That is where trust begins. Trust is not proven by how much you ask. It is revealed by how you respond.
If you keep asking for more signs, you may stay in the same place, circling around a decision that has already been set before you. But when you take the step, even if it feels small, something begins to shift. Clarity often grows as you move, direction often unfolds as you obey, and what once felt uncertain begins to make sense when you stop standing still and start walking forward.
You do not need another sign. You need to take the step that is already in front of you.
Much Love ~Gayla~
